Witness requirements for signing DIFC Wills
What are the requirements relating to witnesses for signing a DIFC Will?
The DIFC Wills are signed in the presence of two (2) witnesses at the offices of the DIFC Courts Wills Service (DIFC CWS) or through video conferencing:
Both witnesses must be over 21 years of age and should not be beneficiaries or a guardians appointed in the DIFC Will. A person may act as a witness even though he is an executor in some situations. This element should, however, be considered carefully to ensure that the Testator has the correct witnesses at the time of appointment for signing the DIFC Will. Legal Inz is happy to provide both witnesses where required by the Testators.
